i'm glad you're voicing your personal experience here, though. i'm finding it hard to educate/convince others that ghetto-riggin' HID without proper shielding and placement of the arc is blinding to others. oh well, guess some people just don't care. :dunno:
well, its wide enough... it just seems that its not as bright as it should be... but what I did also eliminated the "hot spot" effect that you normally have.
Mine have always been wired to the stock wirring... there is already a realy for the lights... in the stock wirring. If it was too much for the wirring, it would blow the fuse first. HID's dont draw anywhere near as much power as a halogen bulb... the only time they draw a lot of power is to arc the bulb when they are first turned on... then the amperage dies right down.
