but you dont need a law enforcement weapon for home protection, save the money and get a basic 12 guage shotgun. pick up some #0 or #00 buckshot (i have #00) thats about 5 bucks a box. anybody in short range gets in the way of that, and they are pretty much fucked.

my primary shotgun is a Remington 870 Express synthetic, i use it for sport shooting (hunting/trapp) and it is my primary home defense weapon.
