brand new to forum, hope someone can help; Honda is trying to *

99 accord coupe, LX; 75,000 miles, purchased new, all maintenance, oil changes, etc. done at Honda dealerships.






recently noticed left side instrument panel lights burned out; was told to replace all lights in "cluster" since labor costs would be high; Honda rep screwed up, didn't replace all bulbs; had to have cluster removed again

after 2nd removal, noticed what looks like an oil or lubricant draining down RPM panel from dial; Honda rep said instrument cluster is turned upside down when removed so oil could leak out;

took car back for 4th time in 2 months, service manager now saying not their fault, yet says instrument cluster sealed so no idea how a lubricant could have gotten into area or how it could leak out; tried to insinuate armorall had leaked in, have not used armorall on car for YEARS; only ever used armorall wipes, never around instrument panel; now more lights are out

anyone familiar with lubricant/oil leak after bulb change in instrument cluster or with a situation in which each time lights are changed, more go out?
