NPR this morning was saying the columbian army went after some high priority target in Ecuador (not venezuela) and that the US has shown "disapproval" but that was early reporting so who knows on the details.
the target was the 2nd man highest in the revolutionary group that has like 700 people held hostage, the guy was killed in Ecuador territory. so chavez closed his embassy in Columbia and put troops at the border saying "better not try that here"
