God is a term referencing the creator, the universe, the atom and everything that it is made from, the quintessential BEING. Being meaning infinite, untangible, existence. The problem with the word god is that over the years it has lost it's base meaning and been given a form meaning, a male human image. Because the mind/ego can't comprehend Being without limit, it imposed a limit, a form, and god the creator was born "in the image of man" Not like the bible said "God created man in his own image". Quite the opposite.

God is everything and nothing, the being and the not being, the beginning and the end, the yin and the yang. Do not try to understand or comprehend this truth, accept it as truth. The more you try to make logical sense or comprehend the infinite the more you try to impose limits, so as to build an image or form for the mind to understand, touch, feel, see...etc. Believe in the possibility of everything, This is the truth of having faith. Unfortunately the words faith and god have been misconstrued by man for personal gain, in order to gain power over our "fellow man".
