the PS3 here is wired... whenever it tried to go on the internet, none of the other computers would be able to load a website and the ps3 would randomly drop connection (if you're at the store and stuff). my cousin also turns it completely off (off switch on the back), so the ip changes sometimes making you go into the router settings and change the port ips. If you set the ip manually you'll be fine, or the ip might never change if you just leave it on standby
