Honestly I think I would have rather done that.
The best way to describe it is pure and utter pain INSIDE your body that you can't do a damn thing about. If I could relate it I would say closer to a VERY dull serated knife being twisted through a small hole and ravaging the tubes that when bleed feels like acid being poured. Also a warm sensation. These pains come and go like a fart in a room. And mind you...mine were small. Like the size of a pencil tip. See below:
