cops pull me over a mile down the road and they gun me doing the speed limit then what proof do they have? your word and in the court of law your word on someone speeding really isnt going to hold up, no offense to you
now someone swerving in her truck and the cops pull her over, maybe they suspect dui ... they can test for that and she fails the test ... well then they have proof.
you cant really expect a speeding ticket to uphold in a court of law with nothing more than "the guy blew by me". thats why we have radar guns and dash cameras.
what are they going to put on the ticket? what speed were you over by? you might get a ticket but it would be an easy one to fight.
Your logic is flawed because if this were the case a burglar who was seen breaking into a house and running away were reported by a neighbor then the cops would have no reason to arrest or even investigate the crime because they didn't see it happen.
Why do you think this is any different aside from one being a traffic violation and the other being a felony crime?
