94 Civic EX

I was driving down the highway this morning and my check engine light came on. it stayed on until I hit a gas station, where I turned the car off to fill up. When I restarted the car the light was off.

As far as I know if there was a problem the comp would have stored it in memory right? Anything I should check? Where is the LED that gives me the error codes anyways?
