Nice theroy but I doubt harmonic distorition will affect the rotor while it is sitting still. Im gonna go with extream heat + quick cool down.

I warmed the car before I went to replace the dist (cause it was like 10f when i started the job). I was able to rest my arm on the oil cover but burned my hand when i grabbed the distributor. When i pulled it off i couldnt turn the shaft by hand. I dont know how it dident seize up. Got hosed on the remanufactured one from Advance though. Stinkin rotor set screw threads were ground out.... wonder why THAT core went in. Heaven forbid some quality control when they rebuild those things. :madr:
