What is the outside temp? The hot air inside and cold air outside can cause condensation, which if there is enough, will cause a similar situation as a leak. You could soon have a mold issue if this does not get fixed. If there is no plumbing running above this area, its certainly possible its a condensation issue.
outside id say about mid 40's to low 50's. and there is no water running there, it's a cathedral like ceiling, over the family room. the water leaks brownish black, and the wood is a bit moldy already, but we havent fixed the wood until we fix the leak, then we will sand the ceiling down and paint it.
we just dont know why it keeps leaking, the roof's been down a few times over that area...
