92-96 USDM Prelude VTEC came with an h22a1. 97-2001 USDM Prelude came with a h22a4. The a1 is OBD1 and the a4 is OBD2. The 92-95 JDM Prelude came with an h22a which is the motor you see selling everywhere on ebay and stuff. If swapping into a 4th gen accord as you are you want the h22a or the a1. They are both OBD1 and your car is also and the only wiring you will have to do is the VTEC solenoid, knock sensor, and VTEC pressure switch and then all that back to the ECU. If using the h22 tranny you have to use the prelude tranny mount otherwise all the accord mounts work perfect. The type s is a waste of money, take the grand you save and put together a junkyard turbo and upgrade your fuel a bit and you will put down around 250 to the wheels and be a low 14 second accord. The only thing i like about the type s is the LSD tranny, but you can get the LSD insert for about 200~250 and make your tranny LSD. Then again your choice, if you have any other questions about the h22s just PM me or ask i have read A LOT!!!
