I wouldn't put one on my track car either, for the same reason as you.
I guess my point was that you don't want to risk losing your daily driver, but it was early and I didn't think through what I was saying. :doh2:
EDIT: I think when I said "I wouldn't recommend replacing any pulleys in the first place", I meant P/S, A/C, and Alternator pulleys. My wording was so ambiguous that I'm not even sure what I meant...
