try the hybrid forums here or on HS for decent info.
the type S has mutliple differences. 20more hp and a litle more torque, it has better cams, 11:1 compression, hand ported and polished head as well as a better header. and it has a red valve cover, and either comes with an ATTS tranny or LSD tranny....

your best bet for an easy install is a 92-95 vtec engine. h22a or h22a1, is the one you want. the h22a4 has an open deck, is obd2, and that means a lot more wiring or an obd conversion (more money).

and anything beyond a start up warranty should be considered a bonus, after all its not like you are buying JDM junkyard parts.
