to get wt off, do your exercise in the morning. get your coffee if that is what u drink in the morning, it fine before exercise. then do your wts and follow up with cardio. exercising before u eat in the morning burns the fat stored in the blood from overnight. burns the fat off of your body fast. u can do just wt lifting one day and cardio the 3rd day.. mix it up. ive had success with kickboxing since its both cardio and lifting my own wt. great toning. an hr a morning is plenty, that includes the warm up, exercise and cool down. then eat your breakfast after.
