But from my experience Honda can AND WILL void your warranty for any mechanical modification.
I took my car for warranty service because I was burning oil due to a worn piston ring seal. THe motor only had about 80K miles at the time.
They acknowledged there was a worn ring seal, but because of my short ram intake rufesed to do warranty service.
Also, a friend of mine had tranny problems on his 6th gen V6, but his warranty was voided because his car was lowered 1.5 inches.

The tranny problem sounds made up.
About the piston ring seal, I can believe that. An aftermarket air intake system puts you at risk of poorer air filtration which can lead to excess ring wear. I would have done the same thing.
