she sees something she wants: an expensive purse, a nds, something considerably costly. you cannot afford to get this for her so she mentions it to her guy friend who youve been suspicious about and he buys it for her. now she is getting attention and gifts from another guy

kinda agree and disagree.
i dont think she should make such a big deal over what cooking/not cooking is. petty stuff like this shouldnt cause hurt feelings...yet a freaking thread on the internet. it was just a commercial they saw on TV, not somebody cheating on somebody.
as for the analogy...if you have a girlfriend that turns to somebody else to fulfill her material needs/wants, she shouldn't be your gf.
