I dont think you can get away with not taking your console out because the access to the bulbs are in the back
You'll have to take out the three bottom panels and unscrew the metal bracket if your radio is installed that way. After that pull the whole thing out. I didn't know if you needed this but I had it linked anyway
if you did LEDs they wouldn't match the other CC controls or your dash. I go to the12volt.com forums to find LED info
Ahh, I already know how to take the CC out... done it a couple times, but I don't know the bulb # to replace it with (hence why I replied to this thread )
