aside from the fact you ride on a piece of wood there are no similarities.

strapped in vs on shoes
wheels vs snow
2 ft long vs 4-5 ft long
flatland vs heavy inclines

it helps a lil in the regards of balance, and thats it.

i've been on the snow since i was 5, and snowboarding since i was 11 ... and when i step on a skateboard i def dont find it any easier
