Default Clutch won't fully disengage? EEEK!

I have a 95 GSR w/ 120k miles on it. I went to start it today and it jumped forward as if i hadn't pushed the clutch, but i did. I tried again and the car started. The car wouldn't move as long as I had the brake on but, when I released the brake the car would start to take off. Since the car is running I'm assuming the clutch is not totally engaged either. I did have to shut the car off after a min. because the clutch started to smoke. I checked to see if the fork moves. It does, but I'm not sure how much it should move. My fluids are also topped up. The clutch is quiet and smooth while it does this too. So I'm hoping it's just that slave/master cyl. Is there any tests I can try at home. Any suggestions? Thanks.
