EDGE is classified by most carriers as 2.75G
TRUE 3G such as HSPDA is being used in markets right now at 7.2MB/S download ... so uhh yea ... EDGE comes nowhere near that buddy
It may have some of the technical features but it most def does not have the download capability...
why is 3G > EDGE because 7.2Mbit/s > 300kb/s
EDGE can never compete with true 3G
You do know i work in the telecom business and that i actually know this stuff... i just need to find sources to actually quote and write it in English.
Show me a 3G network that will allow you to go to 7.2MB/S please... just a link to a TElCO annoucing that is does that would be good enough.
