Ive been that way all summer, still contemplating selling it.. useless to have a car payment on a car that only gets driven to make sure it doesn't die. Maybe I'll sell it for an old cavalier or something for the winter.. or an older dodge 4x4 might be nifty.
And for the brake "argument".. here is my experience. I was riding down the highway at about 55 in a 45. On the right there is always traffic backed up because of a major bridge, and there was no traffic in the left lane. So I continued passing in the left lane towards the intersection. The light was green, so I didn't slow down. Out of absolutely no where, an ambulance comes bursting into the intersection, and I didn't see it until it was almost right in my path because I could not see around the traffic on the right. Anyway, I locked up the rear brake and use my front brake to aid in stopping. My front brake never locked up because I used it ONLY as an aid, not as the brute stopping force. My bike stayed straight and I skidded to a stop (as did the ambulance). We were about 6 feet away from each other when it was all said and done.
So, thats my take.
