people not taking "marriage as a commitment" seriously. i wonder about peoples intentions when they even think about getting married. to me its always supposed to be a selfless thing where you honor your spouse. and please dont get that confused w/ turning into a huge push-over

and what if they have kids during this time? im assuming they might just try to avoid having them altogether, but in essence its like "hey, i dont feel like putting the effort into our marriage so lets not renew and lets forget about the things we've built together." i dont think two people can have a mindset of sticking things through if they dont see the magnitude of their initial commitment
