Thanks for the reply...I was afraid of that. I replaced the throwout bearing when the old tranny was in. I thought that was the original problem. What and where is the pilot berring? I'm gonna go for inspection today, then an alignment then I can tear it apart again. I thought taht is was a cliche' to say "It's always something," but taht seems to be true...:hahano:
The pilot bearing is directly behind the flywheel, on the tip of the crankshaft. Its hard to say exactly what your problem is, I would take it apart and look. Maybe somebody else has better advice for you...
It is always something... If your going to drop the tranny again, its probably a good idea to buy a pilot bearing, throwout bearing, clutch, and pressure plate so you don't have to go through this again. All of that should cost you between $200-$300.
