Two step is just the term used for a fuel cutoff at a specified rpm used to launch the car.
A plug-in will modify the existing version of the program, whereas an update will load a newer version of the program. For example, you can download a plug-in that adds a boost cut, cel shift light, and other things but the version will still remain the same.
www.tunewithcrome.com has all the plug-ins you need. Make sure you DO NOT update to the newest version...I have been hearing some problems about it. You can read up on it on forum.pgmfi.org and make your mind up for yourself.
