My wifes '99 Civic EX, 49 state legal, 5-speed triped this code three days ago. I lubed the fuel cap and cleared it. It went away for a few days now has returned. On the Civic there are two valves I can find under the hood purge on intake and Vent shut valve on canister which in in the engien bay of the '99 Civic. Is the 2 way-valve under the car in the 49 state '99 Civic EX also? My guess would be if it is the new Hampshire salt might have affected it.
