Hold your e-brake & try to slip the clutch as best you can. Just make sure you don't stall 'cause once the other guy's staged, you won't have long enough to restart it before green.

If you overshoot the staging lights, back all the way up until both go out, and make sure you stage pulling forwards only. I've known a couple of rookie dsmers that blew their rear ends out because they backed into the staging lights after overshooting them and launched without preloading. I don't think you're a rookie, and it's not likely you'll be blowing out any rear ends, but I'm sure the same rules apply to FWDers as well.
