A degree will help you period but they will want to know what you have done to prepare for this career. If a criminal justice degree is it then you're on a good path. I have a business degree but its about how you word your past experience to make it relevant to your pursuit of a career in law enforcement. Most agencies will give you incentive money for having a degree. I received incentive money at my last agency and hope to again. That way they can pay off my student load

I see, yea I agree on that. Well i'll see what happens, I mean me just having a BS degree in computer engineering will probably put me ahead of anyone else with just a GED. Not that just having a GED is bad but you know what I mean.
