Splitting cable signal again before it gets to the cable modem = BAD

More likely to incur slower speeds and/or connection drop outs.

Best to just get a better more capable main splitter and have the cable modem come directly off that without being split a 2nd time.

I know I know, that usually requires running another cable line. But if you ask me, it's worth it.
