Default Dizzy Rotor

I was curious if you guys would use this rotor that I purchased.
It looks different from the old one I'm replacing which to my knowledge is oem or oem style. :hsdunno:

The one that was in there had sort of a fiber material on the sides of the top part ( ) whereas this one not only has no fiber but exposed metal on the sides (highlighted area in pic) and it's a different material as the oem style is silver.

Also, this new one I got has teeth, or grooves in the top part instead of the smooth finish on the oem one.

It's a GP Sorensen, the only one they had in stock for my car at the place I went.
I didn't realize it looked noticeably different until I got it home so I'm curious what your opinions are.

The 1st pic is of the one I just got.
The 2nd is the highlighted area of concern that is both diff. color, no "sides" and has teeth (hard to see)
The 3rd is a pic I found online that looks very similar to the one that is currently on the distributor.

This may not be the best place to post this but what ya gonna do.

Thanks in advance for any input/opinions.

Almost forgot, it's a '92 Civic EX that I'm putting it on, if it makes a difference.
