I went to the cruise in this weekend and was bored by the unoriginality of most the cars there. I mean it looked like everyone read the same issues of Hot rod magazine and went to work on it.
no way with only 6000 produced would i think of cutting that one, no way in hell. that particular truck would be rebuilt 100% to original specs if it was mine

and i know what you mean about hot rods today.... problem is 90% of the guys with them out there either buy kits, or have someone else do it. not like it used to be where joe and paul would spend 5 years meticously build the car in their garage at night after work and buy more parts they didnt use than parts they did. when we finished our 37 we had enough parts left over to halfway restore another coupe

also i'm a through and through BBC fan, nothing i love more than the raw power of a 700HP V8 sittin on the test stand with open headers and a choppy idle
