Grinds from 1st to 2nd, especially at higher rpms. And third gear doesn't always go in all the way. It seems like it's in gear but then it pops back out sometimes. Very common issues from what I've read. Supposedly it's partly because the tranny fluid is overfilled.
I have no first hand experience with Amsoil or the new Si but from what I've read one of the problems was the thickness of the Honda MTF. It's apparently now thinner (how much, etc. I dunno).
I'm also not sure if it was just too thick for the new cars or if it had been thinner in the past and was just being produced incorrectly.
I'm still debating whether to put mobil synthetic 10w30, amsoil, or honda mtf in my '92 trans. Perhaps I should start with the price of the Honda MTF (plus shipping:boink: )
