I'm not sure about the paint thats on your car, but...

I used touch up paint with Milano Red and off the shelf clear coat, it came out decent. Milano Red has a hint of red or pink mixed in the clear coat, so it is somewhat noticable in reflective light but it looks better than the primer spots I had before. I plan on a full paint job soon, this was only a temp. cover up. You might try the same on yours, any clear > no clear at all.

I filled in the holes on my doors & 1\4 pannel, primered, and painted with generic touch up paint. Wet sanded starting with 1000 grit and slowly worked my way up to 3000. Then clear coated, sanded again and finished with rubbing compound & wax.
