Borrow one from Auto Zone. If you do the work in their lot, all you have to do is hand them a credit/debit card and your ID, and they'll let you use it for free.
I did it the other day with an OBDII scanner for my gf's car. Used it in the parking lot, and gave it back. No deposit or anything.
already have one, i just want two and use one because one is brand name to feel baller-ish.
(was influenced by someone i did a clutch job for, he had a whole tool case with all craftsman/matco/snap-on tools)
