Yea it's gonna keep getting stuck til you fix it but if you need to open the hatch just do what I mentioned before.
Lets hope it decides to work this morning so that I can get the junk out of there withouth having to climb through my back seat.

you dont' really need to slide the lever over to open it with the key held in posistion.
