The dust shield? No. Do no use the dust shield with coilovers. They will bind.
It will drop immediately. Make sure the e-brake is off to make sure the weight is transferred equally to ensure a proper drop.
If you think the fronts were a pain in the ass, the rears are going to be a nightmare. Good luck.
