It's not for home defense. It's for sport, I like to go target shooting from time to time. It's just that the application takes 6 months to process which is bullshit. I'd rather just have the gun and be able to go to the range while the stupid application is processing.
Why not just make friends with someone with guns and go with them. You can shoot, just not own.
And aren't you prior military? I think they would look at yours a little more on the nice side.
