I highly suggest looking at the links I posted, pay close attention to the pictures of the wiring. With the symptoms your having, one of those is probably reversed. I went through the same situation when I installed mine. Like Prov. said, it isn't good to play trial and error with your ECU. If you have a Helms, or Haynes manual, check the wiring schematics. They will list the exact colors of what connector goes where.
The EVAP purge solenoid and IAB system has connectors that will plug into the IAT, and the MAP, TPS, and IACV are also the same.
