Axles are the (black tubular, usually) ones that connect your transmission to your wheel hub. You can jack car up/ pull up on ramps/ turn your wheel completely to one side or the other to see the axle on each side. There is a nut (32mm, i believe) that holds the axle to wheel hub that you can see by either removing center cap of wheel or removing wheel all together, this nut should be tight and dimpled to prevent loosening. At the transmission side you should not see any of the splines where the axle slips into the tranny. Hope this helps, any more questions just ask, someone will answer.
