Default stupid mechanic...

ok so there's this clunking noise over bumps about 10 mph, and never on the highway. A friend say he had the same problem and it was tie rods. So I told the mechanic, it was either tie rods, ball joints, or stabalizer bar. He says its definetly the shocks after driving it. He never even looks under the car.

Me being confident in his diagnoses.. I agreed to replace the shocks. Then drov around the block abd I still feel the clunk. Took it back, but had to goto work.. so I just left. He say "sometimes the shocks oil needs to settle, wait a day" or something like that...

so it was $260 for two front shocks including labor, and nothing is fixed.
