Of course when we first meet its all trash talking and hating, but over time, you realize who knows their stuff and who's out there just to talk trash and be loyal to whatever niche they want to be loyal to.
Some of those musclecar guys were so into their drag racing and V8 stuff, anything not musclecar was rice. Annoying, yes. I would always challenge them to a drag race in the rain and they'd be all "thats dumb". not rice, just ignorant.
Then some of the honda guys were strictly into street racing. enough said. (rice)
then there were guys who appreciated cars and were always willing to learn more. "wow, i didnt know evo's can run 13's in the rain, i wish my camaro could do that".
i'm a firm believer in that someone's car represents their personality. A car that was just slapped together for the sake of being different like the examples shown earlier in this thread tend to be poorly planned due to misinformation or lack of research.
if you go on honda-tech and look in the appearance/cosmetic forum, you'll see that every newly owned civic or integra has the same damn modifications (amber turn signals/rotas/front lip/slammed). some of them look good but many of the comments treat these cars like they were gods amongst cars. its lame. sorry.
it goes the same for the Sti/WRX/Evo guys. these cars have sh!tloads of potential, but a lot of their owners use them just to drive around town, with no intentions to ever explore the cars' limits legally. "Nah i dont want to take my car to the track, [fill in lame excuse here]". Some guys will try to kill themselves in the canyons (i'll admit at one point i did too) not realizing the true dangers to themselves and other motorists. Those guys are rice to me too.
i'm going nowhere with this post.
I see what your saying. You too have made very valid points. Rice is a very opinionated topic.
