get the thin cheap philips one from best buy. got it because it is cheap but it turned to be pretty sweet. It is one of the few players that will play Divx files burned to CD/DVD R/RWs.. I use that feature a lot. Its also real easy to region change, just punch in a code on the remote.
Never have been a Phillips person, they're plasma's are ok. I really wanted the Yamaha in light of the fact that I'll be running a Yamaha reciever.
