Default So I bought a new DVD Player

And I get it home and it doesn't work

It's a Yamaha DV-S5750 Progressive Scan, thought it would be a good buy. I get the damn thing home and all it does is squeel when you put a disc in, CD or DVD:shocked: We cant get anymore at Best Buy that I know of and I wanted to have a well matched DVD player for my soon-to-be reciever, I don't need upconvert either and don't want to pay the premium for it.

Not a good way to begin my surround sound project, I guess it's going back to Yamaha:down:

get the thin cheap philips one from best buy. got it because it is cheap but it turned to be pretty sweet. It is one of the few players that will play Divx files burned to CD/DVD R/RWs.. I use that feature a lot. Its also real easy to region change, just punch in a code on the remote.
