IN my opinion as I know that the heads are the same in d16v1 and d17a2 they are both equipped with vtecII systems only the crankshaft and the rods are diffirent and with an ECU setup HOnda manged get 17hp more out of the engine...As some coutries get taxes according to the engine sized Honda just changeed these parts and made a d17 out of a d16 so I logically it must with perfectly the crower cams to your d16 but maybe there are somethings that I dont konw of and I would advise you to buy the stage 2 cam bacuse the 1st stage wont make that much difference....BUt as I've claimed before maybe there are somethings I might be mistaken....anyone wanna help here???
