Maybe I didn't explain good. For example on my 98 GSR when you're driving vtec engage at 4400 rpm & at 6k you hear the engine getting even louder. I guess you would call it the cam lobe or something. That's what I was trying to explain about the B16.
On the B16's I thought everyone always stated Vtec kicks in at 4500.
