OP-I think you are a little paranoid...but now that I have acquired a fairly solid set of tools (which I keep in my trunk) I can feel ya. But I don't think tools "move" as fast on the car-thief-contraband market.

as stated b4, car thieves aren't going to go through the trouble of making it nice and clean if they really want to get in. They will most likely take a sledge and punch and just bust the trunk lock through.

hopefully you will just have dumb thieves like me. I live in a fairly nice area and drive the oldest car by far. One night, someone slim-jim'd into my car one night and stole the radio. They somehow managed to NOT-notice the RCA cables that are a clear indication that there is more to the stereo than meets the eye. So they went through that much risk just to get a quick $50 at a pawnshop...it wasn't even that good of a receiver...<$200
