yeah "Get over it" is a brutal way of saying it I guess, but honestly how long do we pay the price for the ignorant world our ancestors lived in?

I give it that even until recent times (60s and 70s) our country was an ugly place to live if you weren't "white" and even today there is a lot of it still going on. Racial stereotypes and prejudice are a fact of life. Slavery has been practiced in every culture around the world in one form or another for centuries.

Now that it has been abolished what more can be done about it to fix the incident? Seriously if we give one group special privelege then another comes in and claims the same or more and at some point it creates a society back to what started it all in the first place. Blacks get angry because the Jews got a larger settlement for the holocaust. Whites are angry because the blacks get more rights due to slavery. Asians want the same for WWII internment camps and the railroad slavery. Irish want compensation for the workers lockout in the early 1900s...and it goes on and on with no end in sight at all.
