I've actually already done the install. I got an email from Alpine about a question I had regarding the high power input.

I'm using all three preouts and running them to a pair of amplifiers in the trunk. I figured since I was using these, the extra current for the V-drive amplifier was kind of useless. So I wrote Alpine and asked them if it was ok to terminate the speaker lines with electrical tape and just use the factory power wire. I figured since there would be no current running through the speaker lines, I wouldn't need the amp to have so much power (you can turn it off anyway with the unit powered up, which im going to).

Alpine responded that that was fine so I did the install last night. Thanks very much for your help my the way SumAccord. Thanks for your help too mysturyous. I wasn't trying to be a dick before, I guess I came off like one, my apologies.
