2006 - Billy's Dad is arrested for child abuse. Billy removed to
foster care and joins a gang. Billy's sister is told by state psychologist that she remembers being abused herself and their Dad goes to prison. Billy's mom has affair with psychologist.

Mary turns up pregnant.
1956 - 5 High School Boys leave town. Mary does her senior year at a special school for expectant mothers.
2006 - Middle School Counselor calls Planned Parenthood, who
notifies the ACLU. Mary is driven to the next state over and gets an
abortion without her parent's consent or knowledge. Mary given condoms and told to be more careful next time.

Pedro fails high school English.
1956: Pedro goes to summer school, passes English, goes to college.
2006: Pedro's cause is taken up by state democratic party.
Newspaper articles appear nationally explaining that teaching English as a requirement for graduation is racist. ACLU files class action lawsuit against state school system and Pedro's English teacher. English banned from core curriculum. Pedro given diploma anyway but ends up mowing lawns for a living because he can't speak English.

Scenario:
Johnny takes apart leftover firecrackers from the 4th of
July, puts them in a model airplane paint bottle, blows up a red ant bed.
1956 - Ants die.
2006 - BATF, Homeland Security, FBI called. Johnny charged with domestic terrorism, FBI investigates parents, siblings removed from home, computers confiscated, Johnny's Dad goes on a terror watch list and is never allowed to fly again.
During hunting season in the high school I went to most of the football team failed to show up for practice...they went hunting directly from school (and everyone wondered why we always had losing seasons), for that matter most of the kids that hunted did, and they brought their shotguns and ammo in their cars.
Spanking never bothered me, and I got plenty of them, sometimes with the belt. How many times have we read accounts of children being prodded by psychologist to remember stuff that didn't happen to them and their parents being blamed.
As far as girls getting pregnant we were a small school (only 31 students in my class) if one of the girls got pregnant we knew who did it...nobody left town. They ended up getting tutored at home once they started showing, and didn't get to come to graduation if they were still pregnant.
The funny part was it usually wasn't the girls that you thought it would be.
We even had people born in this country that couldn't speak English worth a shit and they weren't from any specific ethnic group...they just didn't pass along with their class and had to take whatever over until they did or dropped out.
For some reason most of them farming was their family business.
I tried making Nitroglycerine in my chemistry class, teacher stopped me when he figured out what I was doing. We made extra large firecrackers in physics class and would go out behind the school to blow them up.
The police weren't called it was no big thing.
