The best option if you are looking to keep it would be to drill and tap a hole in the back or underside of the manifold so you can use a brass fitting that the hose will fit over.
So what did you do with the hose that runs from the canister to the fuel tank? Did you remove it completely?
The HELMS says fuel vapors will vent through a check valve in the gas cap, if the EVAP system isn't functioning properly. Is this enough ventilation, or do I need to make a breather setup?
I don't think Texas cares, they just check your blinkers via mirrors in the garage, and drive around the block to check the breaks and suspension. Not even an emissions check with the ECU. Inspection here is so pointless. If they do notice, i'll tap the IM.
